Antique Snowmobile Show - February

SnowmobileHeld on the first Saturday in February, the vintage snowmobile show and swap meet is held in conjunction with Hart Winterfest at the Oceana County Fair Grounds featuring a huge variety of antique snowmobiles, concessions, trophies & more.

Hart Hills Gravel Bike Race - April 16

Bike RiderLooking for an amazing Michigan gravel race this spring? The Hart Hills gravel race on April 16, 2022 is what you are looking for. With segments like Hart Breaker Hill, Stan's Stomping Grounds and Remember Kelly, this is a race you don’t want to miss.

Hart Hills starts and finishes in downtown Hart, MI. We plan to offer both a short (25 miles) and long course (50 miles), in addition to kids/beginner distances, 5 and 10 miles. The race will be chip timed by Epic Race Timing. Cool brews and hot pizza will be available at the finish line. Overall and age group winners will be recognized with a unique medal.



Memorial Day Parade - May 30

City of Hart Memorial Day ParadeHonor those who have given their all in service to our country during the Memorial Day Parade on May 30th at 11:00 am in front of the courthouse continuing to the Hart Cemetery where there will be a small service to honor those who have fallen in service.

Asparagus Festival - June 11

City of Hart Asparagus FestivalOceana County, known as the "Asparagus Capital of the Nation," is one of the leading areas for asparagus growth in the country. Established in 1974, Asparagusfest is a fun event promoting our famous local asparagus industry. Held annually during the 2nd weekend in June some of the many events include the Taste of Asparagus, Arts & Crafts Fair, Kidz Zone, Joan Glover Royale Parade, Ryan Walsworth Spear-It 5K run, live music and more.


Hart Heritage Car Show - June 18

Car ShowCar enthusiasts join us on June 18th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Hart Historic District. Registration starts at 8:00 am until 10:00 am and takes place on the day of the show. Registration fee is $10.00. There will be entertainment, concessions, pony rides and prizes. Stop by and tour the museum while you are there.

Hart Sparks - July 2

City of Hart Bring your lawn chair and join us in Downtown Hart for a patriotic celebration of the nation's independence with a spectacular fireworks display over Hart Lake. Featuring a kids zone street party, vendors, food, and live entertainment. The Rocketfuel Haulers will be performing from 7:00 pm to 10:15 pm.

Oceana County Fair - August

Oceana County Fair - August The Oceana County Fair is held annually in August at the Oceana County Fairgrounds has to offer! Tractor Pulls, 4-H projects, animals, carnival rides, tasty food and so much more! Visit website for 2022 fair dates and events.


Heritage Days - September 3-4

Sackrider ChurchStep back in time and visit the Historic District during Hart's Heritage Days Festival. Enjoy a home-cooked meal during the community picnic. This annual event is held during Labor Day weekend each year.


Honoring Our Elders Traditional Pow Wow - September 3 & 4

Native American danceThe Annual Hart Pow-Wow, also known as the "Honoring Our Elders Traditional Pow-Wow", is set for September 3-4 at the Oceana County Fairgrounds. Enjoy a traditional Native American pow-wow with Intertribal dancing, Native singing, storytelling, arts and crafts, food and more. There will be multiple items raffled Sunday with a 50/50 raffle both days. Bring lawn chairs to watch the Grand Entry and Intertribal dancing Saturday at 1 pm. Flags will be retired at 8 pm.

Everyone is welcome - and admission is free!

Music on the Commons - Thursdays in the Summer

Free live outdoor entertainment at Hart Commons Park in Downtown overlooking Hart Lake. Each Thursday from 7-9 pm starting June 23- Aug 25 the event will feature a variety of the region's musical talent during this family-friendly event. Bring a chair and come early to enjoy a bite to eat, our downtown has seven restaurants within walking distance. See website for dates and artists!

Hispanic Heritage Celebration - September

City of Hart Hispanic Heritage CelebrationThe Hispanic Heritage Celebration takes place on the third weekend of September at the Hart Commons. The cultural celebration brings together the diversity of our community and celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month. Actives include live music, folkloric dancers, kid activities, contests, and authentic Mexican food.

Veterans Day Service

City of Hart Veterans Day ServiceThis annual event is held at Veterans Memorial Park on November 11 of each year and features a guest speaker. The parade starts at the County Courthouse at 11:00 am and ends at Veteran's Memorial Park.

Lighted Christmas Parade | Cookies with Santa

Lighted Christmas Parade | Cookies & Cocoa with SantaCelebrate the holiday season during our annual Home for the Holidays Lighted Christmas Parade. Before the parade, stop by the Hart Historic District for Cookies with Santa!

Parade starts at the Hart High School, travels down Johnson Street, north onto State Street, West onto West Main, with a stop off at the Hart Commons where Santa will be there for the lighting of the Christmas Tree. Parade will continue south onto Water Street, west onto Johnson Street, and concludes at the High School. Parade starts at 6:30 pm the Friday after Thanksgiving, November 25th . Sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce.
